Bel'Veth does not burst enemies — she consumes them. The longer she stays in a fight, the faster her attack speed climbs and the more impossible she becomes to kill.

Overview

Bel'Veth is one of the most unique jungle carries in League of Legends, built around a combat identity that fundamentally rewards staying in fights rather than bursting enemies and retreating. Her passive grants bonus stacks of attack speed every time she kills a unit in combat, and these stacks multiply rapidly in extended fights, transforming her from a relatively normal damage dealer early into a terrifyingly fast attacker in the late game. Unlike most assassins and carries who spike at item thresholds and then deal burst damage, Bel'Veth's damage is sustained — it starts at a moderate level and then scales upward as long as she is alive and attacking, which means the worst thing an enemy can do is let her stay in a fight. Her ultimate, Endless Banquet, transforms her temporarily into a monstrous form that dramatically boosts her stats and gives her the ability to convert objectives into Voidlings that fight for her. Her E allows her to flash in any direction at very short range, making her surprisingly mobile and difficult to kite despite her melee nature. She is not a traditional champion — she does not lane, she does not spike at one item, and she does not want to trade quickly and disengage. Instead, she wants to be in the middle of fights for as long as possible, letting her attack speed spiral out of control until enemies simply cannot kill her before she kills them.

Strengths

  • Attack speed passive creates exponentially increasing damage in extended fights — the longer a fight goes, the faster Bel'Veth attacks and the harder she becomes to outlast, which is the opposite of most carries who lose sustained fights
  • Exceptional dueling potential against most jungle champions once she has even a small level or item lead — her sustained damage output in a one-on-one fight is difficult to match for most champions who rely on burst patterns
  • E dash provides surprising mobility in all eight directions, allowing Bel'Veth to dodge specific skillshots, reposition mid-fight, and avoid kiting patterns that would trap other melee champions
  • Void form from her ultimate dramatically amplifies her stats for a duration, creating sudden power spikes mid-fight that can instantly swing the momentum of an engagement that was trending against her
  • Strong objective conversion through her ultimate mechanics — killing major objectives in Void form can create Voidlings that fight for her team, providing sustained combat presence beyond just her individual damage output

Weaknesses

  • Significantly weaker when behind — unlike assassins who can still kill squishy targets even when behind, Bel'Veth's sustained damage model requires her to actually survive long enough to stack up, which is much harder when the enemy is ahead in gold and items
  • Heavy crowd control is her most direct counter — being stunned, rooted, or knocked up during a fight freezes her attack pattern and prevents her passive from stacking, completely neutralizing the sustained damage model she depends on
  • Fragile compared to tank junglers — she has no built-in tankiness or resistance mechanics, which means she must earn her durability through lifesteal and Conqueror healing rather than having it inherently, making her easier to burst down before she can scale up
  • Early game is her most vulnerable period — before she has items to support her sustained combat, her initial damage is moderate and she cannot yet leverage her passive's full potential, making her susceptible to early invades from stronger early junglers
  • Requires good fight timing — entering a fight when crowd control is still available, when the enemy is in a position to focus her down, or when her team cannot follow up results in a death that removes her from the fight before her sustained damage has a chance to matter

Early Game

Bel'Veth's early game is the most difficult phase for her because her damage is not yet terrifying and her passive has not built up enough to create the attack speed spiral she depends on in extended fights. The priority in the first few minutes is efficient, complete jungle clears — do not skip camps, because every unit you kill in combat builds passive stacks that carry over, and a full clear gives you the most gold and experience to reach your first item quickly. Avoid unnecessary early duels with stronger early junglers like Lee Sin, Nunu, or Warwick unless you have a clear health advantage, because those champions beat you one-on-one before your passive stacks are meaningful. When ganking, look for lanes with immobilizing crowd control from allies — your sustained damage model means you need the enemy to be stationary for long enough to start stacking your passive, and a root or stun from an ally makes that much more achievable than trying to run someone down with no setup. Between ganks, continue farming camps aggressively, prioritize Rift Herald and Dragon whenever your team can contest them, and focus on reaching your first item as quickly as possible.

Mid Game

Mid game is where Bel'Veth's transformation from a competent jungle farmer into a genuine fight-winning carry begins to manifest. With one or two core items providing her attack speed and damage foundation, and with passive stacks accumulated from jungle farming, her sustained damage in extended fights becomes legitimately threatening to most champions who have to stand still in front of her. The priority during this phase is to take every fight opportunity that develops around Dragon and Rift Herald, because these objective fights are naturally extended and in relatively tight spaces — exactly the conditions where Bel'Veth's sustained damage model has maximum impact. Before engaging, assess whether your team can follow up and whether the enemy has strong crowd control available that could shut you down before your passive stacks. If the answer to both questions favors you, commit fully. If not, play around the edges of the fight by killing the smaller elements — picks on isolated targets, assists that add passive stacks without fully committing. Continue farming between fights to maintain jungle camp control, because Bel'Veth's passive stacks from jungle monsters also count, and maintaining full jungle control while fighting significantly accelerates her passive buildup.

Late Game

Late game is where Bel'Veth reaches her peak — a fully-stacked Bel'Veth with complete items and her passive at high accumulation is one of the most threatening sustained damage dealers in any teamfight. Her attack speed at this stage can reach numbers that are genuinely difficult for the enemy team to survive if they let her stay in range for more than a few seconds. In five-on-five teamfights, her approach depends entirely on whether her team needs her to play as a frontliner or as a backline threat. Against teams with strong peeling for their carries, she should engage from the front alongside her tank and absorb some initial crowd control — her Conqueror healing and lifesteal sustain make her durable enough to survive the initial burst that would kill most carries. Against teams without strong peel, she can flank to access the enemy backline directly, using her E dashes to dodge crowd control and reach the priority targets. Use Void form at the moment in a fight when it will have maximum impact — either when you are low and need the stat boost to survive, or when the fight has reached the critical moment where the extra power will determine the outcome. Above all, avoid being caught by crowd control before your Void form is available, because dying as Bel'Veth in the late game before you have activated your ultimate is one of the most costly mistakes you can make when your team is depending on your sustained damage to carry the fight.

Tips & Tricks

  • Full jungle clears are essential for Bel'Veth — every unit killed in combat adds passive stacks, and skipping camps to gank early almost always results in weaker passive accumulation and slower item progression. Unless a gank opportunity is genuinely free, complete your camp before rotating.
  • E dashes in all eight directions make Bel'Veth significantly harder to kite than most melee junglers — practice using E to follow enemies who are trying to create distance from you rather than simply running after them, because the dash closes gap and resets your auto attack animation simultaneously.
  • Fight duration is your most important variable — a fight that lasts five seconds gives you far less passive value than a fight that lasts fifteen seconds. When possible, choose fight locations and conditions that favor extended combat rather than short burst exchanges.
  • Void form timing is critical — using your ultimate at the start of a fight guarantees maximum duration but may be wasted if the fight ends quickly or if you die before the form expires. Using it mid-fight when you are getting low is often the more impactful choice, because it heals you and boosts your stats exactly when you need it most.
  • Track Conqueror stacks during fights — at eight stacks, Conqueror starts converting to healing, which is when Bel'Veth becomes genuinely difficult to kill through sustained damage. Most fights where Bel'Veth wins are fights where she reaches maximum Conqueror stacks while the enemy is not yet dead, because from that point forward her healing makes her effectively immortal in the trade.
